Renggis Island is located infront of Berjaya Tioman Resort. Only a few hundred meters from Berjaya jetty (lalang village). Average depth is 9m and max depth is 12m. A truly wonderful dive site, this beautiful reef has many coral varieties - hard and soft - and teems with marine life - puffer fish, angelfish, butterfly fish, sting rays, moray eels, trigger fish, giant grouper and more. Renggis is one of the best sites for seeing turtles, and harmless black tip reef sharks are often spotted.

Generally speaking, Redang is one of the best islands on the East Coast. U can just lie on the sandy beach n look at the sea for hours n hours without getting bored of its scenery. From Redang, you can also go island hopping .. ... I was thinking of Perhentian ... another best island in Malaysia. Other than that, there's BBQ dinner along the beach at Berjaya Beach Resort..but eatery is much more limited than Tioman Island n more pricey when it comes to food n drinks.
Many people “argue” about where the diving is better: Tioman or Redang ? I am not taking sides, I loved both places. Pulau Tioman above water is certainly the most picturesque: a perfectly shaped island with a perfect bay and a perfect beach. Just relaxing on a deck-chair, sipping a beer and taking in the surroundings is an experience in itself. Exploring the coastline by kayak and diving the surrounding reefs was even better. Most people are familiar with the impressive scenery of Tioman .... thanks to movie “South Pacific” .

If you ever go to Tioman, say hello to the NEMOS (the clown fishes) for me !
